How does Link Generator work for client users?

Use this tool to get your tracking links for any campaigns you have Rights to access.

Each campaign you have access to in your account will display here with pre-generated links.
- Scroll and use the page navigator to view Campaigns.
- Find the Campaign you need.
- Grab the link by using the copy icon next to it.

Can I add custom parameters or get a shortened link?

Yes, you can do all of that. We’ll explain how to take care of each optional component. Drill down to the Partner level of each Campaign to include optional components in your link.

Shortened URL - Generate and use a lighter smaller version of your link.

In the ‘Short Code’ field, enter a string of your choice;
From the corresponding ‘Short Link’ field, grab a copy of your short link.
The short link will reference whatever additional components have been saved with it (see below for explanation of each).

Partner Reference ID (AffiliateReferenceID) - The Partner Reference ID is a parameter that carries a unique value designated by an affiliate.

The purpose of this ID is to pass information from the Partner to LinkTrust and then back to the Partner.
The maximum number of characters allowed is 500.
The full tracking URL has a tracking domain followed by parameters and their values.

Promo Code - can be used for a variety of purposes including discounts and influencer-specific attribution.

Partners can ensure their sales are tracked accurately.
Sales attribute correctly without requiring a click at the start of the process.
Promo codes can be configured for specific payout rules.

Sub ID - The Sub ID is an optional alphanumeric value that a Partner can append to their tracking URL.

Generally, Sub IDs are used for designating a specific Partner or sub Partner.
Because traffic types are redundant, the Sub ID value is repetitive.
This allows you to use reporting to identify which Sub ID is performing the best.
The token [=SID=] is available in many areas and can be used to populate the Sub ID value.

Custom Fields (Additional Data) - these fields can hold whatever name-value pairs you need to append to tracking links.

How Do I Save My Custom Links?

Once you’ve completed identifying additional components, click the Save button at the bottom of the panel.
