The password security settings can be modified in the Affiliate Center on the Affiliate Customization page.
Restrict Login to these IP Addresses
You can restrict your affiliate login to a specific IP address. Use wild cards “*” to allow whole IP ranges. E.g. block specific IP’s by entering specific IP addresses such as 192.168.1.1, or ranges by adding “192.168.1.*” or “192.168.*.*”. To enter more than one IP address, enter the new IP address on a new line.

- Enter the IP address in the open field.
- Select Update to save settings.

Connection
A LinkTrust (LT) Connection is a formalized relationship between two LinkTrust clients. A connection allows LinkTrust clients to easily copy a campaign from one LinkTrust client to another. After a connection is made, copy an offer by selecting Copy from Connection on the create campaign page of your Partner account.
Code
Your affiliate must obtain a connection code from you to make a connection. To obtain a connection code, select Generate. Send this code to the affiliate. The affiliate needs to place this code in their LinkTrust account on the Merchant Details page they created for you.
Status
Status displays your connection status. The status will display, "You have a connection with company name", if the connection was successful. The status will display Not Connected if no connection is present.
See All Connections
The See All Connections link takes you to the My Connections page under Community in LinkTrust. The My Connections page shows you all the merchant and affiliate companies you have connections with.
Terms and Conditions
You can now force an individual affiliate to reagree to the Terms and Conditions before they are allowed to access the Affiliate Center. By selecting the checkbox Force affiliate to reagree to Affiliate Terms and Conditions:, the affiliate will have to re-agree to the Terms and Conditions upon their next login. When the affiliate agrees to the Terms and Conditions, LinkTrust will stamp the date and IP address of the affiliate.
API v2 Access
You can choose whether to allow or deny your affiliate access to the v2 Affiliate API's. In the drop down there are three options: allow API access, deny API access, or use account default. If the default is chosen, then the current setting will show up to the right of the drop down.
Affiliate Fraud Score
Fraud check allows you to determine a potential fraudulent affiliate using the LinkTrust Affiliate Fraud Scoring System. When a new affiliate signs up, the affiliate is entered into the LinkTrust system and assigned three separate non-mystical clear cut numbers. The numbers are used to determine if the affiliate falls into one of the following categories:
- Duplicates – The system checks all existing affiliate accounts in your Partner Center and provides the number of matches found.
- Suspended – The system checks all the suspended affiliates across the entire LinkTrust system and provides the number of matches found.
- Denied – The system checks all the denied affiliates across the entire LinkTrust system and provides the number of the matches found.
Rescore Button
Because the affiliate fraud score is a snapshot in time, you can get a current affiliate fraud score using the Rescore button. The following criteria are used when calculating the new affiliate fraud score:
- IP address
- Company Name
- Tax ID
- Address line 1
- Phone
Account Information
This section contains information about the account and its managers.
Primary Manager
The primary affiliate manager is the owner of the affiliate. The primary affiliate manager user account information can be pulled into the Affiliate Center home page using tokens.
An affiliate manager can do the following:
- Create new affiliate accounts
- View new affiliate signups
- Approve new affiliate signups
- Deny new affiliate signups
- View tracking for assigned affiliates
- View details of assigned affiliates
Additional Managers
These fields allow you to add up to two additional managers to manage the account. Their contact information is not dynamically displayed in the Affiliate Center.
Affiliate Is Network
This option allows you to identify whether or not the affiliate is in an affiliate network.
Allowed Traffic Types
The allowed traffic types feature allows you to identify the types of traffic an affiliate performs.
In campaigns, traffic types are used to define the type of traffic allowed for a specific offer. The LinkTrust partner must identify the types of traffic allowed for each offer. After this is done, LinkTrust only allows affiliates that match the allowed traffic types to request this offer from the Affiliate Center.
For affiliates, each affiliate must be assigned the traffic type they are able to generate. After an affiliate is assigned, the affiliate only sees offers that match that type of traffic. Affiliates are assigned a traffic type because it does not make sense for that affiliate to see an offer generate by social media if the affiliate can only take email traffic.
Notes
In the Notes field, add account specific information. You may also add notes to a pending affiliate application before approving or denying the application.
Alternate ID
The Alternate ID field allows you to store and pass your own custom affiliate-specific ID from LinkTrust to a CRM or website landing page.
On the approved affiliate application, the alternate ID can be used in token format in the campaign’s tracking URL or landing page URL. The token automatically populates your specific alternate ID value to the URL. Because the Alternate ID field can be used as a token in URLs, only URL friendly characters can be saved in the Alternate ID field. The following characters cannot be used in the alternate ID: (spaces) ' , " ; : ?
The alternate ID does not replace the AFID name value pair on the affiliate's tracking URL.
Additional Data 1 and 2
Additional data allows custom affiliate applications to capture additional data at the time of signup.
Group
Grouping affiliates is an effective way to organize affiliates by performance or function. This option allows you to efficiently search and communicate with affiliates. For example, you may have an affiliate that performs exceptionally well with any offer they run. By placing the affiliate in the Super Affiliate group, you can effectively and quickly send an email to the Super Affiliate group without missing any of your high performing affiliates.
Source
Affiliate source is the way an affiliate found your business. If the affiliate signed up using a LinkTrust generated signup form, the following sources are available:
- ABestWeb
- Ask.com
- Banner
- Billboard
- Blog
- DM
- Confidential
- EmailForum
- Friend/family
- Magazine
- Newspaper
- Radio
- Search
- StatCounter
- Survey
- TradeShow
- TV
- Yahoo
Notice that there are some odd sources added. This is intentional. If an affiliate selects TV, radio, or newspaper and you know your company does not promote your affiliate network or affiliate program this way, it would be wise to re-evaluate the application for possible fraud.
Status
Status designates an affiliate's status in LinkTrust. You can enable or suspend an affiliate by using the available options with the status button. When an affiliate's status is suspended, all links for the affiliate break. An affiliate in LinkTrust can have the status of either active or suspended. By default, all affiliates are active. To suspend an affiliate, select Suspend; then add notes into the Suspension Comments field that detail the reason for the suspension.
Suspension Comments
The Suspension Comments allows you to detail the reasons for suspending the affiliate.
Receive Email Notifications
When the Receive Email Notifications option is enabled, the affiliate will receive all emails associated to this account. When the Receive Email Notifications option is disabled, the affiliate account remains active, but emails associated to this account stop.
Affiliate Referral Link
The Referral Link is an affiliate's unique link used to associate referred affiliates to the network's affiliate base. The unique name value pair SAFID=# is required for this URL to associate refereed affiliates to the referring affiliate.
Activity
The Activity field displays the following information:
- Activation Date - This is the date the affiliate account was approved in LinkTrust.
- IP Address (Last Access) - This is the last known IP address the affiliate had when accessing the Affiliate Center.
- Country (Last Access) - This is the IP address that was converted to the country code of the last country the affiliate had when accessing the Affiliate Center.
- Signup Date - This is the date the affiliate signed up to become an affiliate.
- Date Last Accessed - This is the last date the affiliate accessed the Affiliate Center.
