Ad/Creative Tokens

Creative tokens are used as place holders for dynamic information.  By placing a token in your creative code, LinkTrust will replace it with the appropriate data value when an affiliate gets the creative in the Affiliate Center.

The following table lists the creative tokens:

Name and Description Token
Tracking URL [=TrackingURL=]
Impression Pixel [=Impression Pixel=]
Campaign ID [=CID=]
Affiliate ID [=AFID=]
Creative or Advertisement ID [=ADID=]
Random Domain [=RandomDomain=]
UnsubCentral/Optizmo Unsubscribe Link [=Unsubscribe=]
Date/Time
When the Date/Time token is placed in a creative, it is replaced with a date time token in the following format:  YYYY_MM_DD_HH_MM_SS. For example, December 08, 2010 at 11:15 p.m. and 14 seconds would be: 2010_12_08_23_15_14. This is in partner local time (the time zone your account is set to instead of UTC).
[=DateTimeStamp=]
Affiliate Group Name
Prints out a comma-separated list of the affiliate’s groups
[=Affiliate.GroupName=]
Affiliate Company Name
Prints out the affiliate’s company name
[=Affiliate.CompanyName=]
Affiliate Parent ID
Prints out the Upline Affiliate ID (the AFID of the affiliate who referred this affiliate)
[=Affiliate.ParentId=]

We also added a new functionality which allows you to URL encode the token value. This way you can safely include the token value as part of a URL in an HTML creative.

You can accomplish this by prefixing the token value with “UrlEncode:”. Here are some example outputs:

Token Output URLEncoded Token URL Encoded Output
[=Affiliate.CompanyName=] Tester's Company [=UrlEncode:Affiliate.CompanyName=] Tester%e2%80%99s%20Company
[=Affiliate.GroupName=] Group,Group 2 [=UrlEncode:Affiliate.GroupName=] Group%2cGroup%202

Note: This works with any token available within creatives.
