The tier settings page allows you to enable/disable a tier, change its name and distribution method. Tiers can attempt to distribute leads to channels in three ways:
- Priority (1,2,3...): Selecting this distribution method will cause the tier to attempt to distribute leads to channels in the order in which they appear on the distribution page. Each lead will begin with the first channel, then the second and so forth.
- Round Robin: Selecting this distribution method will cause the tier to attempt to distribute leads to channels in a load balanced method. As a lead enters the tier, the channels are rotated to facilitate load balancing of distribution. Each channel in the tier will have an equal opportunity to receive a lead. Channels that are configured to send data all the time are not included in the round robin selection, but are processed after all other channels have had an opportunity to accept the lead.
- Random: Selecting this distribution method will cause the tier to attempt to distribute leads to channels randomly. As a lead enters the tier, the channels are randomized. This does not mean that each channel in the tier will have an equal opportunity to receive a lead. Channels that are configured to send data all the time are not included in the random selection, but are processed after all other channels have had an opportunity to accept the lead.
