A QR code is a two dimensional image that stores information. When scanned, the scanning device redirects the consumer through a LinkTrust tracking link to the merchant’s landing page. LinkTrust has incorporated the highest level of optimization for maximum device compatibility and error correction. That means, our QR codes are supported by most mobile devices and have the highest level of reliability especially when utilized in print ads where the image can become smudged or partially damaged.
You can create a QR code by doing one of the following:
- Create a QR code as a creative for affiliates
- Create a QR code using the Link Generator
Create a QR Code as a Creative
To create a QR code as a creative, do the following:
- From the menu, select Campaigns.
- Browse to and select the campaign you wish to create a QR code for.
- Select the Painter Palette to enter the creatives directly.
- Select Add Creative.
- Under Creative Details, enter the creative's name in the Name field.
- From the Creative Type drop-down field, select QR Code.
- Save your settings by selecting Update.
Create a QR Code using Link Generator
To create a QR Code using the Link Generator, do the following:
- From the orange tab at the top, select Support/Tools.
- Select Link Generator.
- Browse to and select the campaign you wish to generate the QR Code by selecting Select next to Campaign.
- Browse to and select the affiliate by selecting Select next to Affiliate.
- (Optional) Add a sub ID or affiliate reference ID.
- Select Generate Links.
- Select Generate QR Code.
- Copy the image or download the image in Portable Network Graphic (PNG) format.
Viewing QR Codes for Affiliates
To view a QR Code in the Affiliate Center, do the following:
- Login to an Affiliate Account.
- From the menu, select My Offers.
- Locate the campaign where the QR code was created.
- Select Creatives.
- Locate the QR Code Created.
- Select Get Code.
- Select Generate QR Code.
The QR code is now ready for advertising. You or your affiliate can also download the image in Portable Network Graphic (PNG) format.
All images are optimized with a 25% error correction. This means the image can have a smudge or defacing marks no greater than 25% of the image for the image to be read and redirected to the appropriate landing page.
